Tap Truck Tidewater - Branch of the Month July 2024

It’s been some time since our last “Branch of the Month” spotlight, so without further adieu, let’s delve into the extravagant work of one of our amazing Tap Truck USA licensees! For the first “Branch of the Month” feature back, we want to shine the light on Tap Truck Tidewater, a place where hot, humid summers meet thirst-invoking celebrations! From Virginia Beach to Chesapeake Bay, come along with us as we adventure Tap Truck Tidewater, a true highlight in our ever growing Beer Truck Family!

At this time, we would like to congratulate and introduce the newlywed, Tap Truck Tidewater owners, Casey and Emily Thuot! When these two started a new chapter in their personal lives, they also found a love for Tap Truck, just our luck! Casey and Emily explained, “We first found Tap Truck when exploring fun, and unique options for our own wedding.  We came upon the idea of a “Tap Truck” and having a classic car being a staple for our friends and family to remember and we loved the idea.  We continued to envision the endless possibilities and decided we wanted to make our own Tap Truck”! Their passion and commitment to creating lasting memories are shown in every event they serve, earning them this month's Branch of the Month highlight!

From lovers to business partners, these two are inspiring members of the Tap Truck USA Family! Tap Truck Tidewater began its vintage vehicle journey with a 1966 Chevy Panel Truck named, ‘Shelly’! ‘Shelly’ has a Crown-Sapphire paint job with a metallic topcoat, five taps, and a brand new crate 350-engine under the hood! Due to popular demand, Tap Truck Tidewater has also invested in a four-tap “Tap Wall”, which has been a major hit at events! While ‘Shelly’ is the only vehicle currently operating under Tap Truck Tidewater, Casey and Emily look forward to adding a variety of classics to their fleet with their next goal being a mid-50s Chevy Pickup. We can’t wait to see that pickup come to life!

With a total of nine operating taps, Tap Truck Tidewater is more than equipped to serve any and every event, from corporate events, and local weddings, to backyard parties and golf tournaments, the Tidewater team comes prepared! Named after their territory, Tap Truck Tidewater brings a unique mobile bar experience to the Tidewater region of Virginia. Operating mainly around the Hampton Roads area, ‘Shelly’ serves Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Cape Charles, Yorktown, and more!

When we asked Casey and Emily what they most look forward to about bringing a Tap Truck to their hometown, they said, “As a newly married couple, we are excited to get out and be a part of our community.  We love meeting new people and doing what we can to live life to the fullest”. Since hitting the roads for the first time only a year ago, Casey and Emily have done just that! The team has found a special passion for servicing golf tournaments and other events on golf courses, explaining that the Princess Anne Country Club in Virginia Beach has become one of their favorite venues!

A vital aspect of Tidewater’s growth has been its commitment to building lasting relationships within the community and creating opportunities for repeat clients. Within the Hamptons Roads area, Casey and Emily have been a part of creating unforgettable wedding celebrations, enticing open house showings, and even classy philanthropic events. Tap Truck Tidewater expressed their commitment to building lasting community relationships when they serviced an “Oyster Roast” fundraiser for The Little Neck Circle of the King’s Daughters, a local non-profit.

Through the diverse selection of craft beers, cocktails, wines, non-alcoholic beverages, and the luxurious appeal of their vintage Chevy, each pour becomes a moment to remember for ages to come. Tap Truck Tidewater isn’t just serving up thirst-quenching drinks, it’s serving unique and exciting memories that will last a lifetime. Throughout the last year, the team has come to find an appreciation for many local breweries and distilleries, working alongside Smartmouth Brewing, Back Bay Brewing Company, Big Ugly Brewing, and Watermans Vodka to bring delicious products to their events! The crew over in Tidewater has just begun creating business relationships and we are ecstatic to see what is in store for them!

As we wrap up this month’s “Branch of the Month” highlight, we are beyond thrilled to shine a light over Casey, Emily, and ‘Shelly’, of Tap Truck Tidewater! Their journey from newlyweds to thriving business partners is nothing short of inspirational and we are pleased to be a part of their beginning with the Tap Truck USA Family! We know that their passion and commitment to elevate every event into a memorable celebration will allow them to thrive within the mobile bar industry!

This dynamic duo strengthens the ever-growing Tap Truck USA team and is a great example of the grit and determination that all of our Tap Truck licensees have! So let’s raise a toast to Casey and Emily for their recent accomplishments and continual business growth! We are truly honored to have these two represent from the shining coastline of Virginia!
